August 2026 Numerology Update
Who will you be when you walk through it?
When I was growing up, there were always little sayings floating around.
I remember things like, "When the wind blows, the cradle will rock." I never really stopped to think what they meant. They were simply part of life.
We also had autograph books. Does anyone remember those? Friends would write little poems and quotes in them. I wish I still had mine because I think they carried more wisdom than we realised at the time.
I've been thinking about this lately.
Maybe those little sayings weren't there to predict life. Maybe they were there to prepare us for it.
I've also been thinking about August.
Now, if you've been following Numerology or Astrology lately, you'll know August is getting a lot of hype. Especially if you're a Leo like me! Apparently it's showtime. The Lion's Gate. Big energy. Big opportunities. Manifestation. Success. You name it.
I have to admit, part of me laughs.
Not because I don't believe energy matters. You all know I do.
But because I remember being a kid and getting so excited that something extraordinary was going to happen. I'd build it up in my mind and then... nothing. I was left feeling disappointed, almost like I'd missed the train.
These days I see it differently.
I don't think the month owes us anything. I think every month simply offers us a doorway. Whether we walk through it... well, that's up to us.
This month carries the vibration of 18/9.
I was taught many years ago that this is the number of fearlessness. I still like that, but I think there's another layer.
The 1 asks us to be courageous enough to begin. The 8 asks us to stand in our authority and use our influence wisely. Then the 9 quietly asks the biggest question of all.
"Who benefits from the way you use your power?"
That's a different conversation.
We've all watched people build incredible wealth, influence and success. Some have done it with integrity. Some... not so much.
Eventually, character always catches up. Which reminds me of one of Aesop's old fables. The Lion and the Mouse.
A tiny mouse accidentally wakes a sleeping lion. The lion could easily have crushed him but instead lets him go. Later, the mighty lion is caught in a hunter's net. It isn't another lion that frees him. It's the little mouse. The one everyone would have overlooked.
I've always loved that story. Not because it's simply about kindness. Because it's about the relationship between power and humility.
The lion believed his strength made him powerful. The mouse revealed something else. Power without compassion is surprisingly fragile. Compassion with courage becomes something far greater.
Maybe that's why I find the 18/9 energy so interesting.
The world often celebrates power. Money. Influence. Followers. Authority.
But 18/9 quietly asks...
"To what end?". What are you building? Who benefits?
When history looks back, will it remember what you accumulated... or what you contributed?
I wonder if that's why this number has always been associated with business. Not because it promises success. Because it tests it. Success without ethics eventually collapses under its own weight. Success with integrity has a habit of outliving the person who created it.
Perhaps the real Lion's Gate isn't a portal where abundance magically arrives. Perhaps it's the moment the heart catches up with ambition. Where courage grows into wisdom. Where leadership becomes service.
Maybe the greatest opportunity this month isn't to receive more. Maybe it's to become someone who can be trusted with more.
I've been sitting with one question. Not because I have the answer. Because I think it's worth living into. If I wasn't afraid... How much more love could I bring to this situation?
And perhaps one more. When this chapter of my life is over... What will people say I stood for?
The doorway for August is open. The only question is... Who will you be when you walk through it?
