October 2026 Numerology Update
2026 is a Universal Year 10/1
2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10/1
October is the 10th month, so: 1 + 10 = 11/2
October 2026 therefore carries the Universal Month energy of 11/2, within a 10/1 Universal Year.
Depending on where you look, the Master Number 11 can arrive with quite a lot of pomp. Revelation. Heightened intuition. Downloads. Big spiritual awakenings. Huge shifts. Perhaps some people will experience it that way, but I think it helps to lift the bonnet and look at the working parts because in Numerology we look at the reduced number first.
Underneath the 11 is the 2.
The 2 is about receiving, listening, connection, peace, cooperation and awareness of others. It is sensitive and receptive, but that sensitivity needs steadiness. Before we race towards the excitement of the 11, we need to be able to hold what the 2 is receiving.
I have had my own experience of that recently. I have felt as though there is something coming in my work with Numerology, a thread I can almost see but cannot quite grasp. Being a 1, I get impatient. I want the answer, the direction, the next step. When it does not arrive quickly enough, I can think perhaps I should just stop.
But perhaps I am not disconnected at all. Perhaps I am being asked to receive before I move.
I find patience difficult because it can feel like nothing is happening, but maybe patience is not laziness. Maybe it is knowing when not to interfere, when to allow something enough time to reveal what it actually is.
Sometimes the first thing that arrives is not the revelation anyway. It is the emotion. A wobble, anxiety, a sense that something has shifted and you do not know why. Then the mind wants to rush in and make sense of it all.
This is where the shadow of the 2 can appear. Sensitivity becomes overload and suddenly it is, “I cannot take any more.” Under the covers, hands over the ears, “I CAN’T HEAR YOU.”
Perhaps the work is not simply becoming more open. Perhaps it is becoming steady enough within ourselves to stay open without being flooded. Not every strong emotion is a message. Not every intuitive hit is an instruction. Not every revelation needs an instant response.
There is something powerful in being able to say, I feel something, I do not yet know what it means, and I do not need to know right now.
That may be where the 11 begins to become available.
I have recently gone back to a book I bought years ago and had not looked at for a long time. The teaching on the 11 describes three very different expressions of the energy. At one end, the 11 can become overly certain, fanatical or convinced of its own spiritual insight, using influence or ability for personal purposes. At the other end, it can become passive, frightened by its own sensitivity, cynical or unwilling to use the inspiration it receives. Then there is the harmonious expression, where insight is brought into ordinary life in a grounded and useful way.
That distinction really interests me. The gift is not the mastery. How we use the gift may be where the mastery begins.
This feels important as we move toward 2027, an 11/2 year. I suspect we may hear much more conversation around revelation, truth, power, influence and responsibility and I will report on that further later in the year.
Not all revelations are bad. Sometimes something being brought into the light creates relief, clarity, acknowledgement or even a sense of justice. Sometimes revelation restores dignity.
We can see some of this playing out on the world stage now. Pope Leo XIV has been speaking publicly about human dignity, responsibility, care and the need to confront failures within the Church while abuse survivors continue calling for deeper accountability.
I am not suggesting I know where any of that leads. I simply find the symbolism interesting.
Institutions and individuals who carry influence are being asked to look more closely at what happens when trust and power are not handled responsibly.
And that brings me straight back to the 11. The question is not whether someone has power, insight or influence. The question is what happens to other people in the presence of that power.
Perhaps that is one of the deeper invitations of October. To receive more carefully, to become less frightened by what we feel, less impressed by people simply because they appear gifted, and more willing to wait before deciding what something means.
October may well have a few electrical storms. The 11 can illuminate something very quickly, like lightning suddenly lighting up a landscape that was dark only seconds before.
But lightning does not give you the whole journey. It gives you a glimpse.
The skill may be remembering what you saw without racing down the mountain in the dark trying to get there immediately. Stay on the road, let your eyes adjust, receive the next piece, then move when you can actually see where your feet are going.
